Enrico Caprile

Scrittrice inglese, nata a Bournemouth nel Hampshire, vivente. Il suo primo volume di versi lo pubblicò nel 1906. Le venne fama dal romanzo The Well of Loneliness (1928j, nel quale trattò diffusamente e con grande franchezza la passione tra donne, tanto che il libro fu proibito dalla censura inglese.

Opere: 'Twixt Earth and Stars (1906); A sheaf of Verses (1908); Song of Three Counties and other Poems (1913); The Forgotten Island (1915), tutti versi; The Forge (1924); The Unlit Lamp (1924); A Saturday Life (1925); Adam's Breed (1926); The Carpenter's Son (1931); The Master of the House (1932), romanzi.
